The Hunger Games – First Poster
Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games trilogy is a set of books that has both adults and children alike raving about the quality of storytelling. Set in a dystopian future where every year 24 children, 12 girls, 12 boys have to battle to the death on television, it’s an incredibly pacy, engaging read.
The movie adaptation has garned a great deal of attention, due to the popularity of the books, and eyebrows raised over the casting of Jennifer Lawrence as protagonist Katniss Everdeen.
To raise awareness of the pic and fuel excitement for it’s release date in March next year, the first poster has been released. This is aimed squarely at existing fans – it will mean pretty nothing to anyone who hasn’t read the books.
(Incidentally, if you haven’t? You should).
With an exciting cast and a script co-penned by author Collins, this should be one of the big movies of next year.
The Hunger Games is due to be released on 23 March 2012 in the UK.
Hat tip to Den of Geek who also have the full motion version of the poster.
