Game Review – Alice in Wonderland – Disney Interactive Studios (Nintendo DS)

Alice In Wonderland - Nintendo DS

While Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland was not only a great disappointment, but may have also put the kibosh on Frank Beddor’s Looking Glass Wars movie, Disney Interactive have released a charming tie-in game on Nintendo DS.

So I asked my 9 year old daughter to review it …

Alice in Wonderland is a brilliant game with fun yet very challenging puzzles. The game starts simple and gets harder and harder, following roughly the same plot as the movie.

How to get Alice up there? You’ll work it out in time! ^_^

You start off with McTwisp (a talking bunny) and the Tweedles will give you a tutorial. You will eventually gain more characters and get on to harder puzzles which need more concentration. As you go through the game you will find chests with life and power chargers and even better BONUS ART! (You can view this in the bonus room in the main menu.

The frumious Bandersnatch

There are four main characters in the game not including Alice because you don’t really play as her; McTwisp, Absolem, Chessur and last but not least the Mad Hatter. Each has their own power in general, movement and fighting. If used correctly they can be really useful!

You have to fight characters such as Stayne, a nasty piece of work and Alice’s life depends on you beating him. He has evil special moves. Like the movie you also have to beat the Bandersnatch, a big ugly creature!

Found Stuff

This is what it looks like when you collect something

There are some fantastic things to collect, so keep an eye out! This is a great game all round that I recommend to any one who has a DS and likes Alice in Wonderland.

  1. Brilliant review! If photography doesn’t work out for you then you’ve got a great backup career in games journalism (not to mention that you’d get all the latest games before everyone else)! I’m sure your mum is dead proud of you! 🙂
